Kingsford Smith lands at Darwin in his attempt on the England /Australia solo record  and intends to continue onto Adelaide via Alice Springs. Coote Colson and Nicker up and away early and arrive in town within the hour. Coote is quickly bored  and goes for a hare around the countryside to see if he can spot Taylor and Tucker, doesn’t see a thing of course.
