Taylor and Johns make 25 miles for the day with more flooded creeks and rough ground and camp on the edge of sandhills at last, there should be some soft going tomorrow for the camels feet. Bird and Terry up at 5 and on the track by 7, find good soakage water in a nearby creek and fill up everything possible, not knowing what lay ahead. Deciding the camelmen may have had a run in with the aboriginals they reluctantly backtrack in search, petrol supplies low and puncture number 8. camel tracks discovered mid morning heading west but not until late in the day until both parties discover each other. Apparently a misunderstanding re directions, the camels went north of Mount Aloysius instead of south and completely circled the Mount. Much relief in the Endeavour camp hat night.
