Ernest Bailey the secretary for the C.A.G.E. Co. writes to Arthur Blakeley thanking him for the prompt response from the R.A.A.F. in the search for Coote. The Endeavour team breaks camp at 8ish, continue travelling along the southern Musgraves in heavy going, so slow that the vehicle barely keeps pace with the camels, and with a tail wind causing the trusty old Morris to boil frequently. Poor Lou Bailey runs foul of bull ants while cooling off at the Currie, suffers twenty very painful bites. Poor country since Ernabella. The remaining ant in Bailey's trousers attacks at tea time, he's had a bad day, not so well this evening.
