All hands packed and away by 7.30, the Terry crew now firmly into the routine of things. Surprised to find Wednesdays storms have extended only a mile to the west. the going is excellent and the vehicle covers twenty miles by midday and the Mann Ranges heave into sight. Semi open mulga with increasing sand and the going soon becomes full throttle with little progress. During a two hour stop to allow the camels to catch up Terry surprises a well clad Aboriginal sizing them up, turns out to be 'George' an acquaintance of Colson's from a previous trip. later half a dozen more well armed locals are met but no trouble. With water supply low and radiator boiling Terry calls it quits for the day amid a jumble of sandhills, anxious that the camel team has not arrived.
