The usual make and mend for the Endeavour team, a rest day it may be but not idle, Bailey cooking, Colson collecting water, Bird fixing any and everything and Terry writing up notes. He ponders the progress and whereabouts of Larry Wells and the Quest prospecting expedition having expected to cross their tracks, can only conclude that Wells has travelled north of the Musgraves heading for Foster Cliffs where he prospected in 1903 and apparently got a few colours of gold. Terry reckons the land about could be 'the garden of Australia' dense vegetation everywhere, sweet smelling flowering mulga, thickets of native pines and the camels are waxing fat on a smorgasbord of grasses and vegetation, makes for difficult driving though. Bird puts in three hours prospecting this afternoon with discouraging results, same lay of land and rock type as the hundreds of miles already inspected. Bailey has recovered from the ants, the camp is full of cheek and wisecracks.
