Sunday in the Tomkinson Ranges and a day of make and mend for the Endeavour team. Bailey cooking, Terry writing up reports, Bird and Colson blacksmithing and camel packs, the mulga has done it's usual work on the packs and any exposed fittings on the vehicle. Much of the afternoon is spent discussing the notable absence of quartz in the southern ranges compared to the Petermanns and speaking of the Petermanns, 20 Aboriginals from the Pottoyu Hills arrive looking decidedly thin compared to the well fed locals. The usual big storms move in from the west late in the day but pass to the south and save a drenching.
