Blakeley and the men leave Barrow Creek and arrive at the turnoff to Rieff's mine, (Kurundi) Blakeley recognises the locale as already well prospected and found useless. Blakeley then throws away another key to Central Australia and dumps Rieff and his mate on the side of the road. Bloody idiot Blakeley, didn't even bother to find out the mans name. They turn south and run into thunderstorms, flash floods cause them to seek shelter at Stirling Station. Terry is anxious , Bird and Colson with the camels are overdue by a day and the very wet ground means the truck cannot be used to search for them and petrol is short, Williams out prospecting morning and afternoon, and when plotting up the maps Terry finds the Kelly Hills are out of place by about five miles. More rain at midday.. Cabinet has decided to refuse C. A. G. E’s request for a refund of 32 pounds/12/10 on freight.
