Coote and Colson arrive at Arltunga and Coote is impressed with the garnet sands in the creeks, he is also mightily impressed with the statistics of the White range gold field. They camp at Arltunga for the night. 

Terry motoring south to Oodnadatta, leaves at 11.00 and arrives at Kidmans deserted New Crown station at 4.00 p.m., good time finds the place in the hands of McLeod the caretaker, then on to Charlotte Waters for a short chat with the Cameron’s then off to Bloods Creek, arriving at the deserted station at 7.20 p.m. A good days motoring 120 miles and rain immanent.
