Coote and Colson get underway today on Colson’s delivery run, they camp at Rosenbaums place for the night. Michael Terry and mates arrive at Horseshoe Bend at 5.00p.m. and he immediately wires the Endeavour Company in Adelaide that all’s well, proceeding to Oodnadatta tomorrow. He has nothing favourable to report about gold in the Petermanns, but he does hear an interesting report from Gus Elliot that five prospectors and seven camels left Middleton Ponds on September the 27th, must be the Quest Expedition under Larry Wells with Jim O'Neill (Fred Blakeley's old mate) Spence Gall, McGillick and Dromeyer. Apparently heading for the Petermanns via the Musgrave Ranges. Seems precious few camels for five prospectors and their equipment but that old trooper Larry Wells will probably walk most of the journey, don't like the cut of his companions though.
