The Endeavour team sets too with final preparations and special attention to the camel equipment and loads, Terry has a good eye for the needs of the expedition and it's done thoroughly, he has a good eye for the men too and work finishes early for a last 'blow out' at the 'Bend, there's no doubt who is Boss though and the expedition will be underway tomorrow.

Now that will put the wind up the C.A.G.E. team, not that Terry considers exploration west to be any sort of race, as far as he is concerned, the more the merrier, (within limits) in the search for gold. Increases the chances of a valuable find , thus for the greater good of the country, especially in these times. He doesn't approve of Baileys public attitude re proceeds from Lasseter's reef, (if such a thing exists) blatant greed and the public are so gullible!  At Elliot's bar, all agree  that fools like the 'Sydney Crowd' make things difficult for genuine prospectors.

Blakeley and Sutherland finally leave Broken Hill for Quorn on this evenings express with parting remarks to the press, the C.A.G.E. men are 'hurt' at the inferences and headlines re guns and Natives, Blakeley can only say the men have to be armed for self defense and tucker, they would welcome contact with the Aboriginals as it probably meant  game and water about, still leaves one with the impression of armed foragers though and there will be precious little game and water left when this lot get loose in the bush.
